Ashley E. Klein’s practice focuses on real estate litigation, including residential and commercial landlord-tenant matters, wrongful eviction defense, purchase and sale of real estate and co-
ownership disputes.

Ashley heads the landlord-tenant practice group at G3MH, and specializes in assisting San Francisco landlords understand their rights and options under the San Francisco Rent Ordinance. Ashley also focuses on wrongful eviction defense, helping clients fight off frivolous lawsuits and obtain coverage under their insurance policies. She represents clients in variety of legal settings, including unlawful detainers, general civil lawsuits, private mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences.

In 2018, Mayor London Breed appointed Ashley to the San Francisco Rent Board where Ashley serves as one of four Landlord Commissioners.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law, Ashley has been recognized for her oral advocacy and writing skills, and was awarded the Gressman-Pollitt Award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy; her article describing the prospect of class arbitration in Canada was published in the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation. Ashley is proficient in Spanish (B.A. in Spanish and History summa cum laude, UNC) and has traveled extensively in Latin America and Spain. She is admitted to practice in California and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Ashley currently serves as a Board Member for the San Francisco Association of Realtors.
