Lee S. Harris is a retired partner with a distinguished career advocating for individuals facing insurance disputes, personal injury cases, and construction defect claims. Over the years, he represented plaintiffs in catastrophic injury cases, wrongful death claims, and significant property loss disputes.
Lee is a past President of the Consumer Attorneys of California and previously chaired the American Association for Justice’s Insurance and Bad Faith Litigation groups. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Harvard University and his law degree from the University of San Francisco, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award for Evidence. Throughout his career, Lee authored articles and lectured extensively on topics such as insurance coverage, jury selection, complex litigation, and professional ethics. He was appointed by the State Bar of California to the Commission on revising the Rules of Professional Conduct and was recognized as one of California’s Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers and a Super Lawyer. He also held an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale.
Though now retired and no longer providing legal advice or handling cases, Lee’s contributions to the legal profession continue to be recognized. His past involvement in trial advocacy programs at institutions such as Stanford Law School, Hastings now UC Law San Francisco, and the University of San Francisco School of Law has left a lasting impact on aspiring attorneys.
